Children at Latimer

We believe that children are a vital part of our Latimer church family. We’re passionate about sharing with children what Jesus has done for them, and supporting parents and caregivers as they shape young hearts in God’s love and truth. Through fun, engaging programmes, we aim to nurture faith and help lay a foundation that will last a lifetime.

Cindy Sloane

Cindy came to know Jesus later in life after many years of God gently prodding her heart. She loves children and loves Jesus, so being able to combine the two in her teaching in Children’s Ministry, and train others to do the same, feels like the best job in the world. Cindy is married to Chris and they have four amazing children (Izzy, Will, Emily and Sammy). She enjoys going for walks and spending time with her family and church family.

Children’s Ministry

Family Church Services

Here at Latimer, we offer engaging children's programmes for 0-10 year olds during our 9 am, 11 am and 4 pm Church services.

Your children will be welcomed into one of our fun, safe and age-appropriate classes run by a team of well-trained, caring volunteers.

During Sunday services, children begin with the congregation and leave before the sermon to join their Children’s Ministry programmes.

Kindy Church

For our younger members, Kindy Church provides a nurturing space for children aged 0-5 years old. This programme offers a fun introduction to Jesus, filled with songs, games, and hands-on activities. We’re committed to ensuring your little ones enjoy their time in a safe, loving environment, all while learning about God’s love for them.

For safety, we ask parents and caregivers to sign their children in at the start and sign them out when they collect them during the final song.

We offer a dynamic and engaging Kids Church programme for children aged 5-10. Here, children sing, play games, create crafts, and learn about God's great plan of salvation through the Bible. Our goal is to introduce children to Jesus and help them build a personal relationship with Him in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.

Our well-trained and caring volunteers run age-appropriate classes that make each child feel included and loved.

Kid’s Church

Register your child for Kindy or Kid’s Church

If you’re planning on coming to Latimer Church, you are welcome to register your child in advance. By registering, you are not saying that Latimer Church is definitely your church home. It simply helps us care for your children well and ensures we have the information we need to do so. If you’d rather not register in advance, you are also welcome to just turn up on a Sunday!

WoW Crèche

We run WoW Crèche on Wednesday mornings while our ‘Women on Wednesday’ Bible study groups meet. As we play, have fun and learn about Jesus, it frees up mothers to connect with one another and participate in their Bible study group.

Holiday Club

Our Holiday Club is a highlight for kids aged 5 to 11 years old, during the term 3 school holidays! It’s a week filled with singing, games, crafts, and fun activities that point kids to Jesus.

Safe Ministry

The safety of our children and young people is hugely important. All our children's ministry staff and volunteers are police vetted and well-trained following the Safe Ministry Blueprint. If you’d like to know more, read our other policies and get in touch with Cindy or our Safe Ministries Officer.
